    1. Part of coffee's success as an alternative to alcohol is the physical habit to hold a cup/glass/mug in your hand to lift and put down, and knowing you have drink with you. It simulates the action of drinking. Same as smoking quitters having a toothpick in their mouth.
So good for you, and keep it up!

    2. i remember when i had one cup of coffee per day and i had a "kick" that was like injecting sugar . Now i have 5 cups per day and I think water does the trick better than coffee ☕

    3. You may enjoy Pour-over coffee. I had a coffee pot similar to yours. I quickly donated to Goodwill, the moment I found out about Chemex. It takes a few minutes, but the taste difference is significant.

    4. The "Coffee Dealer," that's hilarious!. It's been so long, I can't remember how I got "into" coffee, but, it's great. Anyway, cool video as always Malan.

    5. I started drinking coffee this past year, 29 years old. I found myself working in a factory (thanks bullshit college degree for taking me places). I was getting up at 5 am everyday to make window frames for shit pay and feeling pretty shitty about my shittyshit shituation. I had recently quit the Mormon church and had never even tasted coffee. Can't drink coffee as a Mormon! Despite my crappy job leaving organized religion made me feel more free than ever. But that's a whole different topic & story. My newfound freedom meant I could now drink it! Coffee came to me in my time of need, it became my new Redeemer. And boy did it save me from my 12 hour shift factory hell. I made it out and got a better job. Started making money online to pair with it that. And thanks to Mad Society am building my AM skill set. Thanks coffee for helping me move up in the world!! Can't wait to see where we go next 🙂

    6. Congrats on 5k! I started coffee about 30 years old…in Africa, nothing to drink except black, dark, shit French coffee all day long…so I drank it with the Africans and Frenchmen. Nothing fancy – piss poor. I'll drink everything harsh now. When I share my coffee, people look at me strangely and say I have a dark, dark soul. Indeed. Cheers!
