Tiger Woods and Rory Mcllroy talked on Friday about missing the cut at the Abu Dhabi Championship, while second round leader Justin Rose commented after shooting a three-under-par 69.

"Yeah, on five I called Martin over to verify the ball was embedded. We both agreed it was embedded, but evidently it was in sand, and Andy ruled that I broke an infraction there, and consequently got a two-shot penalty, and I had two shots".

"Pretty much the same as yesterday. When you don't hit fairways on this golf course you can't score, and I didn't putt well again. They were the two areas of the game. Nothing was really on today, but yeah, one of those things. I've got a few weeks off now to work at it, and I'm going to try and get my game in decent shape for the US (tour)."

"I continued the momentum from yesterday which was nice. I felt like I played a lot better today. It was probably due to the conditions. It was a beautiful morning to play golf. One thing that struck me about my round was how many times I hit it exactly pin high today. So I was judging the shots well, but more importantly had my game under control and I was hitting my number with my irons which often tells you you're swinging the club well."
