    Nike Vapor Pro Driver Review
The new big stick Rory McIlroy officially debuted at the Ryder Cup earlier today, and which he presumably will continue to play throughout the matches, is the Nike Vapor Pro driver ($399.99). Featuring a pear-shaped, 460cc clubhead, the Vapor Pro is built with three key technologies - FlyBeam reinforced Covert Cavity back design, a new Compression Channel, and a new FlexLoft adjustability design.

The FlyBeam, which acts like an I-beam in building construction, stiffens the cavity in the back of the club while the redesigned compression channel increases COR across the entire clubface. The result is more energy transferred to the ball at impact for more speed and distance.

"To elevate performance, we added FlyBeam technology to the Covert Cavity Back to focus energy into the variable-profile Compression Channel and NexCOR face," said Nate Radcliffe, Director of Engineering. "This is the first time we have created a driver where the face and channel are measurably more flexible than the body."

Adjustability and custom tuning are also significantly enhanced by the new hosel design (FlexLoft 2), which offers five lofts and three face angles with 15 different settings. The new system is approximately 30% lighter than the previous iteration, allowing more weight to be redistributed to other areas of the clubhead for added stability and improved launch conditions.

The Nike Vapor Pro driver will be available on January 30, 2015.

    1. I average 235-240 off the tee over the past few years. This is using Cobra F6, Callaway BB 10 degree, etc. 7.3 handicap. I hit a Nike Vapor driver with 50 Stiff shaft yesterday and first drive went 290. The next 4 drives were all over 280. I'm not sure what's up, but I think it's a magical club. Maybe it had just the perfect kick point for my speed? I'm only 5'4" as well, so I never in my life hit it that long.

    2. Rick. I am 13 years old and i use the vapor speed. An awesome club, i gained 30 yards. My avg was 200 but now is 230-260 Yards. I just subscribed to your channel.

    3. Rick could you hit the vapor pro head to head with the covert tour 2.0? I'm just starting to play again after an operation in February and I'm choosing between these two.

    4. Hey all, it seems that after taking some time off from gold (can't play in winter here) I've completely forgot how to hit a golf ball, doesn't matter what club. I've noticed with the driver, it feels like I hit the ball well, but I have no elevation, it only goes like 1" off the ground, and maybe like 30yds out. Wtf is going on! It's so frustrating it makes me wanna quit

    5. I'm still hitting the Nike VRS Pro driver, take a look at that one on the bottom and checkout the "ridge." Something they did a few years back that is super popular now!

    6. Looking forward to trying this driver along with the G30, 915 D3 and the R15 next weekend.

What would you personally pick out of the 4 for distance and consistency Rick?

    7. Hi Rick, nice demo, is this the REAL DIAMANA WHITEBOARD 70 x after market shaft, or the made for NIKE version? your swing speed numbers, ball speed is similar to mine, this might be a good go, I like the feel of the PRO head, and played the flower band whiteboard for many years. although I tend to prefer in the mid 60 gram, but you got some great numbers with that shaft…

    8. I'm a 8-10 handicap. …I have the covert and was thinking about upgrading to the vapor….I have a natural high ball flight. ..I was thinking about getting the pro version. …obviously without knowing my game (lol) would you recommend the pro
